Second part of a CMLS double header -- not too much to report - the home team were 3-0 up at half time thanks to strikes from Baz Paine on 13, Craig Boulton on 17 and Warren Hatfield on 33. Kimberley keeper Oxborrow made some great saves to keep the score respectable for the visitors.
11 minutes into the second half, there was a bit of a tussle on the halfway line between Calverton's no. 5 Corey Nightingale and the Kimberley no. 8 - it was all a bit of handbags really until Nightingale kicked the Kimberley player while he was on the ground.
Referee Mr. D. Styles was five yards away from the incident and showed both players a yellow. Now I'm not one for wanting players to get their marching orders, but the action by Nightingale was foolish, stupid and needless - and a sending off might have taught him a bit of a lesson......
As it was, the home team netted three more times, Hatfield again in the 65th minute, Lewis Cauldwell three minutes later and Boulton with a tap in on 77 after great work by Hatfield.
