Kimberley Town 4-0 Sutton Town AFC -- CML Supreme Division

No, the scoreline is not, repeat not, a misprint. We have just witnessed third from bottom Kimberley Town take apart high flying Sutton Town - and trust me, it could have been 7 or 8 nil......and it wasn't as if the Snipes put a weak side out either, they were just not "at the races" as they say.

The home team were in front as early as the 7th minute. After striker Tom Reville forced Sutton keeper Mark Frost to give away a corner, the ball in was cleared out to the corner of the box - and AARON RUSSELL just pinged it back into the danger area - it by-passed everyone, including Frost, and ended up in the back of the net.

Bad start for the visitors, and it could have been worse in the 11th minute when Russell somehow managed to hit the ball wide when he was just two yards out and in smack in front of goal..!! H-T 1-0

The second half was only 7 minutes old when Kimberley doubled their lead. This time it was a superb effort NATHAN RYAN, firing past Frost from an acute angle after working his way into the box.

It was 3-0 on the hour mark - after Sutton's Kyle Ludlow lost the ball in midfield, it was played forward and eventually found TOM REVILLE who made no mistake from 12 yards or so.

Another break from midfield lead to the fourth Kimberley goal. This time the ball was headed against the bar, and when the Sutton defence failed to react, NATHAN RYAN was presented with the simplest of tap ins at the far post. F-T 4-0

This result was totally out of the blue. I'm not a betting man, but I wonder what the odds were of this game finishing 4-0 to "Kimbo"?
